# Cadáver Exquisito Online > A free, collaborative online storytelling game based on the Surrealist technique of "Exquisite Corpse" (Cadáver Exquisito). Players take turns writing parts of a shared story, seeing only the last sentence of what the previous person wrote. The result is a chaotic, surprising piece of collective fiction. Cadáver Exquisito Online is a browser-based multiplayer writing game playable in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French. Anyone can create a room, share a link, and start writing together — no app download, no signup required to join. Finished stories can be read, shared, and saved as "exquisite corpses" in a public or private library. The site is a React single-page application hosted on Netlify, backed by Firebase (Firestore for persistence, Realtime Database for live game state, Cloud Functions for serverless logic). The public story reader at `/story/:id` is server-side rendered via Firebase Functions. ## Game - [How to play](https://cadaverexquisito.online/): The main landing page explains the game, the Surrealist origin of the technique, and how a round works. - [Create a room](https://cadaverexquisito.online/): Free, no account needed.
